Audio and lighting sync calibration
PLAYER

Play four precise beep and full-DMX-universe pulses, then adjust the offset until sound and light coincide.

No show is playing. Changing the value or pressing Start launches the built-in beep and lighting test.
Move the slider. If a show is playing, CUE/IO saves the value and restarts that same show from the beginning in PLAYER. Otherwise it starts the built-in sync test.
-120 ms
ms
The test briefly sends value 255 and then 0 to all 512 channels in this universe.
Changing the offset restarts the active show or built-in test from the beginning. You stay on this page.

Universe and offset U0 · -120 ms
This is a real output test: sound plays through the selected audio output and all 512 channels of the selected universe briefly receive 255. Lower the volume and make sure connected fixtures may react before starting.
The real PLAYER uses this same offset. A positive value sends DMX later and a negative value earlier; for example, −350 ms sends lighting about 0.35 s earlier. The Raspberry Pi and CUE/IO do not need to be restarted.
Action after CUE/IO startup

Choose one action to start automatically when CUE/IO is ready.

Automatic action after startup
Demo routing values use deterministic IANA TEST-NET addresses. They are examples, not current configuration read from a CUE/IO unit.
Network settings

Choose an Ethernet port and set DHCP or a static Art-Net IP address in one place.

Fallback Wi-Fi and the .local address These access settings already work. Open this section only to change the Wi-Fi name, passphrase, or .local address. Loading…
The .local address and fallback Wi-Fi are not the same thing. .local is a name on the network you are already connected to. The fallback access point is a separate Raspberry Pi Wi-Fi network: first join its SSID on the phone, then open the displayed address. No port needs to be added.
Independent fallback Wi-Fi

Maintains a separate control network so CUE/IO remains reachable when the normal network is unavailable.

Enabled by default. On a new CUE/IO device, fallback Wi-Fi is a safety mechanism and is enabled by default. When no safe dedicated Wi-Fi adapter is available, its status says it is waiting for an adapter instead of incorrectly showing Active.
Exact fallback IP address
Checking whether a passphrase is configured…
One Wi-Fi interface cannot be both the fallback access point and a client of another Wi-Fi network. Use Ethernet for internet in this layout or add a second USB Wi-Fi adapter.
Local mDNS address

Lets devices on the same local network open CUE/IO by name without looking up its IP address.

Loading…
This name distinguishes multiple CUE/IO devices on the network. After saving, it also appears in the browser title and the full .local address. For safety, saving also applies the adjacent fallback Wi-Fi settings.
Exact local address
Ethernet and Art-Net
Choose the Ethernet port and its IP settings. DHCP or a configured gateway/DNS automatically means that the same port also carries internet traffic. For an isolated Art-Net network, choose a static IP and leave gateway and DNS empty.
Current address: —
Static IPv4 configuration
CUE/IO calculates broadcast from the IP and subnet automatically. You can still enter it manually.
Leave empty for an isolated Art-Net network. Separate multiple DNS servers with commas.
Art-Net unicast targets
Global for non-Manual shows only: enter one IPv4 address per line. At least one valid address replaces broadcast; an empty list restores the configured broadcast. Manual shows use their saved output.
Connection test

Tests the local interface, gateway, DNS, and internet reachability without changing system configuration.

Save network settings
CUE/IO checks the fields and immediately applies the selected Ethernet port settings. Network use is detected automatically: DHCP or gateway/DNS means shared Art-Net and internet; a static IP without gateway/DNS means isolated Art-Net. After changing the IP, reopen the page at the new address or the exact .local address shown under Management access.
GPIO button control
Map up to four physical buttons to show start or stop actions.

Leave empty to use the shared debounce value.
Protects an active recording from an accidental button action.
0 means loop forever.

GPIO explanations
  • LEVEL controls whether the button is active on a HIGH or LOW signal.
  • Debounce prevents one press being read several times; 80–150 ms is usually suitable.
  • Ignore during recording protects an active recording from being interrupted.
  • Ignore during playback prevents a button from changing a show that is already running.
  • A repeat count of 0 means loop forever.
  • Play once forces one complete playback and then stops.
  • Same-show behavior decides whether to ignore the button or restart the show.
  • After action decides whether to stop, repeat the same show, or move to the second show.
CUE/IO license

This permanent license is bound to this Raspberry Pi.

Recording is blocked below the start limit and stopped safely below the critical limit.

Device control

Use these controls only after stopping active recording or playback. For a safe power-off, choose Shut down Raspberry Pi and wait for the activity light to stop blinking before disconnecting power.

This button saves every section except Network. In Network, use the Save and apply button.
