GPIO sensor and button triggers

Common questions.

Is a Raspberry Pi included?

No. The €30 product is a software licence for one Raspberry Pi device.

Which Raspberry Pi models are supported?

The current 64-bit image is prepared for Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspberry Pi 5.

Does CUE/IO need internet?

Internet is required for initial activation. Recording, local control and playback then work on the local network.

How many Art-Net universes can it run?

Run the built-in benchmark on your Raspberry Pi to see a safe count for that exact hardware and setup.

Can I move the licence to a new Pi?

If the old device works, deactivate it and activate the replacement. If it has failed, contact support for a verified transfer.

Does CUE/IO generate LTC?

No. CUE/IO receives incoming LTC and uses it to trigger prepared shows.

Is audio hardware required?

No. Audio is optional. For recording, use a Linux-compatible USB audio input supported by the device.

Is a lighting console needed for playback?

No. Use the console to program and record; CUE/IO handles standalone playback.
